May 30, 2018

BEFL has issued the Overview of Russia’s Largest Agricultural Landholders in May 2018. The overview shows 55 companies, which are present in all federal districts of Russia. The total farmland portfolio of the overview is 12.6m ha, of which 26 % are controlled by the Top-5.

The overview 2018 includes companies having over 100k ha of farmland under control (owned, leased or possessed by any other legal right) and several companies which own approximately 100k ha of farmland. The overview shows 55 companies, of which 9 are new participants. This year the chart lost 3 companies due to a significant reduction of their farmland portfolio, and Agro-Invest (earlier controlled by BEF), VAPK and LAPK are now shown under the name of their common beneficiary – Volgo-Don Agroinvest.

The overview shows the dynamics of the Top-5 over six years and comments on key changes in the amount of farmland owned by the companies as well as their position in the chart.
