International Forum ‘Agrarian Regions of Russia: Black Earth’ – assessment of agricultural land market by BEFL’s expert

BEFL Managing Director Vladislav Novoselov participated as a speaker in the international forum ‘Agrarian Region of Russia: Black Earth’ and assessed the current situation at the agricultural land market in Russia.

The problem of purchase and sale of land still stirs up much controversy despite the adoption of the Law on ‘Agricultural land turnover’. Vladislav Novoselov presented a report ‘Current issues on agricultural land turnover’ in which he outlined a number of problems related to agricultural land turnover and analyzed key risks occurred at execution of deals with land plots.

The Forum took place in Orel on July 19–21, 2011. It was organized by analytical portal IDK.ru under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation and Administration of the Orel Region. Among the participants of the forum were the representatives of agro-industrial enterprises, banking sector, regional and municipal public authorities, and science.
