The journal “Joint Stock Company: Corporate Governance” published the article “On Procedure for Notifying Shareholders of Related-Party Transactions”, authored by Inna Konopitsyna, BEFL Senior Associate in Corporate Services.

The article identifies a gap in the legal provisions regarding related-party transactions, which arose as a result of the fundamental changes to Chapter XI of the Federal Law “On Joint Stock Companies”, which entered into force on January 01, 2017. It analyzes the associated consequences and offers recommendations for mitigating the risks discussed.
